Early Orthodontic Evaluation
An early evaluation gives families a clearer view of how a child’s teeth and jaws are developing. We review the bite, spacing, and areas of concern, then explain what we see in straightforward terms. If treatment is not needed yet, we can discuss what to watch and when a follow-up may make sense.
Growth and Bite Monitoring
Some children benefit from observation before any orthodontic treatment begins. Monitoring lets us follow changes in tooth position, jaw growth, and bite development over time. We explain what has changed at each visit and recommend a follow-up schedule based on your child’s needs, so families can make informed decisions without rushing care.
Phase One Treatment
Phase One treatment may be considered when a developing bite or alignment concern could benefit from attention before all permanent teeth arrive. We assess your child’s growth and explain the purpose, timing, and options for care. Recommendations are specific to the individual; early treatment is not necessary for every child.
Palatal Expansion
When an upper jaw is narrow, palatal expansion may be one option to discuss. We assess the bite and jaw development, then explain whether an expander could be appropriate for your child. If recommended, we review how the appliance is used, what to expect during treatment, and how progress will be followed.
Space Management
When a baby tooth is lost earlier than expected, nearby teeth can shift and affect the space available for a permanent tooth. We evaluate the area and discuss whether space management may be helpful. If an appliance is appropriate, we explain its role, care instructions, and the follow-up needed as your child’s teeth continue to develop.
